My Story

Pastor Reko Guyton has a great enthusiasm for God's work and people. As a 'lil ole country boy", as he often calls himself. Pastor Guyton was raised up, in a single parent household, in Forrest City, Arkansas. Along with the help of his grandparents, his mother was fortunate to raise him successfully in spite of the struggle they endured. He can relate to the people are of " the least of these".  He believes God takes care of the overlooked, the oppressed, and the counted out.

Pastor Guyton accepted his call into the ministry of the gospel of Jesus Christ in 1997. He preached his first sermon in July of 1998. his sermon came from Mark 11:15-17. The title was "House Arrest" He later was ordained in 1999 and served as an Assistant Pastor at his home Church, New Hebron Missionary Baptist Church of Forrest City, Arkansas under the leadership of his grandfather. In 2001, he was blessed with his first pastoral assignment, at the Mt. Harmony Baptist of Forrest City, Arkansas. He is currently serving as the Senior Pastor of The Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church of Saint Louis, Missouri.  Pastor Guyton's Motto is, to God be the glory for the things he has done."

Pastor Guyton's Method extend beyond the traditional walls of the church. His vision has a scope to reach all humanity. He seeks to restore, rebuild, revive, and repair the church, the community, St. Louis and the world.

Pastor Guyton is happily married to his wife of 12 years, Lady LeShaunda Guyton aka "Lady Shaunie". They currently reside in the Ferguson -Cool Valley area of St. Louis County.
